Included in this sea of debris are abandonded fishing nets, and all sorts of plastic debris, which is a danger to the fish. The fish eat the floating plastic which looks like fish food, and the fish also get stuck in the abandonded fishing nets.

This recent article published on Yahoo.com explains how the Environmental Working Group (EWG), a nonprofit agency, analyzed labels of 173 bottled water products to determine where the water comes from, and how their water is treated.

‘Intersex’ fish found in Susquehanna River
Male smallmouth bass with female traits have turned up in the Susquehanna River, the second major Chesapeake Bay tributary where “intersex” fish have been detected. A federal scientist said Tuesday she’s investigating whether the abnormality could be linked to farm or consumer chemicals getting into the river.
